LIC Type Supercapacitor
Lithium ion supercapacitor (LIC) is a hybrid electrochemical energy storage device that combines the high energy density of lithium-ion batteries with the high power density and long lifespan characteristics of double-layer supercapacitors (EDLC), filling the performance gap between the two.


Features:
1. High energy density
    It is 3-5 times that of traditional double-layer capacitors (EDLC) (about 10-40 Wh/kg), but lower than lithium batteries (150-250 Wh/kg).
    Under the same energy, the volume is smaller than EDLC.
2. Extremely high power density
    It can achieve high current charging and discharging in seconds or even milliseconds (5000~20000 W/kg).
    Suitable for scenarios that require instantaneous high-power output/input.

3. Long cycle life

    The deep charge discharge cycle can reach 50000-100000 times, which is tens of times more than that of lithium batteries (about 1000-3000 times).
4. Wide working temperature range

    Excellent low-temperature performance, capable of stable operation in environments ranging from -40 ℃ to+70 ℃.

    Solved the problem of significant capacity degradation of lithium batteries at low temperatures.

5. Low self discharge rate

    Far lower than traditional supercapacitors, the battery retention rate is high after long-term static storage.

6. High security
    Only shallow lithium insertion occurs, without the risk of overcharging, lithium deposition, and thermal runaway of lithium batteries.

Applications:
1. Automotive field
    Intelligent start stop system: supports frequent engine starts, instantly provides high current, and extends battery life.

    Braking energy recovery: Efficiently recover the braking energy of the vehicle, instantly fill it up and then release it, saving energy and reducing consumption.

2. Rail transit
