Solid Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor
Solid state aluminum electrolytic capacitors, also known as conductive polymer solid state aluminum electrolytic capacitors, are high-performance aluminum electrolytic capacitors that replace traditional liquid electrolytes with conductive polymers such as PEDOT and polypyrrole. They are mainly used in circuits that require high stability, lifespan, and high-frequency performance.


Features:
1. Extremely low ESR (equivalent series resistance)
    The ESR is as low as 3-20 m Ω (traditional liquid state is about 0.1-1 Ω), and the high-frequency impedance is stable.
    Strong ripple current capability: 2-3 times that of liquid state, low heat generation, strong filtering.
2. Ultra long lifespan&high reliability
    Without electrolyte drying, the lifespan can reach 10000-40000 hours at 105 ℃ (traditionally around 2000-5000 hours).
    No leakage, no bulging, and no risk of bursting.
    Wide temperature range: -55 ℃~+125 ℃ (some car specifications reach 150 ℃).
3. Good high-frequency characteristics
    Low capacity attenuation from 100kHz to 1MHz, suitable for high-speed digital/RF circuits.
4. Shortcoming

    The price is higher than that of liquid;

    The upper limit of withstand voltage/capacity is lower than that of liquid state (mainstream ≤ 35V, ≤ 1000 μ F, high voltage is rare);
    Without self-healing ability, overvoltage/reverse connection can easily cause permanent damage.

Applications:
1. Consumer Electronics&Computers
    Mainboard CPU/GPU power supply, graphics card, server VRM, laptop/phone fast charging.

    Purpose: Decoupling, filtering, transient high current compensation.

2. Automotive Electronics (AEC-Q200)

    Car charger OBC, ADAS, BMS, headlight driver.

    Requirements: High temperature resistance, vibration resistance, and long lifespan.

3. Industrial&Power Supply

    Switching power supply DC-DC、UPS、 Variable frequency drive and servo drive.

    Advantages: high ripple, low heat generation, long lifespan.
4. 5G/Communication&High end Equipment

    Base station power supply, RF module, network equipment.

    Requirements: High frequency stability, low noise, high reliability.
