NPT-IGBT, Non-Punch Through
It is a mainstream high-voltage power semiconductor device, with the core characteristic that the depletion region does not penetrate the N-drift region when turned off. It possesses advantages such as high voltage resistance, high reliability, ease of parallel connection, and low switching loss. It is primarily used in medium and high-voltage high-power electric energy conversion scenarios at 1200V and above.

Features:
High voltage resistance: suitable for high voltage levels ranging from 1200V to 6.5kV.  
Low switching loss: Short turn-off current tail, smaller Eoff, and superior high-frequency performance compared to traditional PT types.  
Positive temperature coefficient: Vce (sat) increases with temperature, facilitating current sharing among multiple parallel-connected transistors.
Strong robustness: Long short-circuit withstand time and good avalanche resistance.
On-state voltage drop: Under the same voltage, Vce (sat) is slightly higher than that of FS (field-stop) type, but superior to the early PT type.

Typical Applications:
1. Industrial drive and high-voltage frequency conversion
    Medium and high voltage frequency converters (3kV/6kV): speed regulation for fans, pumps, steel rolling mills, and compressors.
    Servo drive: industrial robots, CNC machine tools.
    Advantages: High voltage resistance, long lifespan, and strong parallel expansion capability.
2. New energy power generation
    Photovoltaic inverter (1500V system).
    Wind power converter.
    Advantages: High efficiency, high reliability, suitable for long-term grid-connected operation.
3. Rail transit and electric vehicles
    High-speed rail/subway traction converter (3.3kV/4.5kV).
    Main inverter for electric vehicles (1200V/750V platform).
    Advantages: High power density, strong short-circuit withstand capability, low temperature rise.
4. High-power power supply
    UPS stands for Uninterruptible Power Supply.
    High-voltage switch-mode power supply (SMPS).
    Inverter welding machine / Induction heating (medium frequency).
